New MAC Series Integrated Servo Motors
 
The new MAC series with integrated drive, controller, and optional absolute encoder is based on a compact 60x60mm or 80x80mm frame, delivering 400W to 1500W continuous power with a 4.5kW peak. Developed from earlier MAC models, it features reduced and combined internal boards for enhanced reliability and efficiency, designed for 24/7 operation with a minimum 10-year lifespan. High-efficiency components minimize heat, ensuring stable performance under demanding loads. Originally engineered for the requirements from automotive applications, it supports fast axis prototyping via embedded ePLC and self-diagnostic capabilities and safety functions.
 
The motors are designed for cabinet free installation so machines can be built with a single small, standardized control cabinet. Without drives in the cabinet heat is greatly reduced lowering requirements and reduce cabinet cost further.
 
All JVL motors can either be set up directly from a PLC without additional software or be programmed with JVL's MacTalk software. Function blocks for Siemens TIA and AOIs for Rockwell Automation, Studio 5000 allow seamless integration.

The new series follows a less is more approach. The JVL signature plug-in module concept has been unique in the market for many years.
It allowed us to add new features and protocols through hardware. The new series is focused on ethernet and updates through firmware.
The plug-in module is now embedded for optimal cost optimization.
