JVL IO-Link Gateway

The JVL IO-Link Gateway screws directly into one of the M12 IO-connectors of a JVL motor.
IO-Link is becoming increasingly popular as can be seen on the curve of installed nodes below.
JVL can now also connect to IO-Link via our new IO-Link gateway which can be used on both our MAC motor® integrated servo and ServoStep™ integrated stepper motors. JVL’s IO-Link can be used on all platforms.

Compared to most ethernet bus systems, IOLINK is running slow and is best suited for slow applications with low dynamic requirements.
The following schemes shows the response timing measured in an Rockwell IOLINK application using up to 5 motors in 2 different topologies.
The time measured is between the point of executing a MAM instruction to an actual movement is detected on the motor shaft.
It takes about 85ms+65mS = 150mS to get a motor respond back to PLC.
