JVL A/S (formerly JVL Industri Elektronik A/S) has had a long and interesting history. JVL was founded in the basement of one of the founders father’s house, very much like the famous "garage companies”.
As early as 1986 Bo V. Jessen and Mads V. Jorgensen produced their first motor controller. Officially JVL was started in 1990 and from then on the company grew slowly but steadily. After the friendly takeover of a competing company the growth increased significantly. 

 

 

The following years saw many new product developments and an increasing number of employees. Agreements were signed with international distributors further increasing the turnover. In 2001 another milestone was reached by the introduction of the very first integrated AC servo motor, the MAC motor®: this proved to be a real game changer for JVL. Integrated motors quickly became the most important product line for the company. 

 

 

JVL established a daughter company in the UK in 2004 and in 2010 time had come to establish two offices in Germany. In 2015 the building that had served JVL well for many years finally became too small and expansion called for a larger building – the very same year JVL celebrated its 25th Anniversary! 

 

 

Later that same year JVL expanded further by establishing a daughter company in Istanbul, Turkey, making the year 2015 a truly magnificent year. 

 

 

Today JVL A/S is the world leader within the integrated servo and stepper motor business with a complete range of all-in-one stepper motors, ServoStep, from 0,36 Nm to 25 Nm – and a complete range of all-in-one servo motors, MAC motor®, from 50 W to 4,5 kW. All motors are designed for IIoT and are Industry 4.0 ready. Furthermore all major industrial Ethernet protocols are supported.
