A lot of applications need to be able to run 2 or more motors in a simple way and without the use of a PLC.
JVL have with a new firmware for MAC400-3000 made this possible. One motor becomes a master and the rest slaves.
Example:
A simple program that controls if the communication is running between master and slave is installed in the slave and if the communication is stopped the slave goes into passive mode and wait for the communication to start up again.
The time before it goes in passive mode is set to 5 ms in the program.
During 5ms the motor moves 0,25 revolution.
Furthermore the motor decelerates before it stop totally.
In the master a program controlling what should be done by the seperate axis is made.
This program also checks for errors in the slave and also set the master and slave in passive mode in case something goes wrong.
