  1. Select MIL if you want motor with integrated driver or controller. If you want a motor without integrated controller or driver click here.
  2. The first two numbers indicate the motor flange size in inches Eg. 2.3 inch is 23. For most applications 1 stack motors are sufficient. The 6th character in the type number shows stack quantity. 1 stack motors are MIL231 and 2 stacks are MIL232. Only order 2 stack for special purposes where short time high force are needed shortly with very low duty cycle. Notice that force always should be below "Recommended load limit”. If load is repeatedly higher than the limit the nut or thread will be damaged. Use only the actuator above it´s limit for short time operation or when a test have shown it works fine. Note: for MIL34x only 1 stack is available.
  3. Select for motor currents
    A Motor currents from 0-3,00 Amp. (Only on request).
    B Motor currents from 3,01-6,00 Amp. MIL23x and MIL34.
    C Motor currents from 6,01-9,00 Amp. (Only on request).
    D Motor currents from 9,01-12,00 Amp. (Only on request).

  4. Select (with x) see screw diameter on the product page.
    C Captive with internal guide (Not available for MIL34).
    N Non-captive with internal nut (Not available for MIL23x).
    A External anti backlash nut (small screw diameter, default) (Not available for MIL34). More information.
    E External plastic nut. (small screw diameter, default)
    F External bronze nut. (small screw diameter, default)
    G
    External plastic nut. (big screw diameter)
    H External bronze nut. (big screw diameter)
    B External nut with rolled ball screw and steel balls.

  5. Select (with y) pitch from 0.6 to 25,4mm/rev. See table on product page.
  6. Choose interface communication.
    Only for MIL23 (Click to show)
    Only for MIL34 (Click to show)
  7. Select N0, H2 for MIL23. Select N0, H2 or H3 for MIL34. N0 is no encoder. H2 is semi Absolute Encoder (in power-off state the shaft must be turned less than 180°), H3 is Absolute Encoder. Resolution is 1024 counts/rev. N0 is default.
  8. Select which driver or controller electronics you want inside the motor.

  9. Select (with z) Stroke or Travel lenght (see options belov). For E and N select in steps of 25-50mm and C in predefined steps. For order quantity above 10 pcs can motors be delivered with longer stroke. For more information, please contact JVL.

  10. Select step resolution with [w].
    1 1/1 step (with 200step/rev motor 200 pulses/rev)
    2 1/2 step (with 200step/rev motor 400 pulses/rev)
    4 1/4 step (with 200step/rev motor 800 pulses/rev)
    5 1/5 step (with 200step/rev motor 1000 pulses/rev)
    8 1/8 step (with 200step/rev motor 1600 pulses/rev)
