Incremental and absolute multi turn rotary magnet encoder PCB. ABZ, Sin/Cos, SSI and BISS-C interface.


General purpose encoder PCB that can be mounted on all kind of stepper or servomotor. Incremental or absolute multiturn encoder with incremental ABZ signals or SSI or BISS interface. Resolution from 128 to 65536 cnt/rev. Can be used together with JVL steppermotor controller SMC66 or SMC85 in closed-loop operation.
 
Features Incremental encoder:
 
  • A+,A-,B+-,B-,Z+,Z- signal 5V or 24V RS422
  • Resolution 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, 16384 cnt/rev. Factory programmed
  • Up to 16 bit Interpolated resolution 32768, 65536 cnt/rev. Factory programmed.
  • Absolute resolution of 0.02° (14 bit / 360° at up to 10000 rpm)
  • No latency results in very high precision and no delay
  • Monitored auto-gain control, optional fine-calibration for compensation of misalignment
  • Integrated RS422 transceiver up to 10 Mbit/s
  • 5V to 30V supply and signals. 24V supply and 5V output also possible
  • OTP one time program able from JVL. Optional can OEM buy programming equipment
  • Optional SIN+-/COS+- signals. Diff. current-limited sin/cos outputs (1 Vpp to 100 Ω)
  • Compatible with BISS-C profiles (BP1, BP3) and SSI
  • System monitoring via BiSS error/warning bits (loss-of-magnet)
  • Work with 4 and 6 mm magnets
  • 1 connector with Incremental ABZ signals and 1 connector with BISS/SSI
  • Optional SPI operation
  • Operation temperature -40 to 105°C
  • Optional coated or potted PCB for high resistance against dust, liquids and humidity

  • Optional absolute multiturn encoder with internal or external battery up to 15 years lifetime
  • Absolute multiturn signals out on BISS,SSI or SPI
  • Resolution 4096 turn ( 12 bit)
  • Multiturn data processing for up to 32 bit (SSI MT interface)
  • Command/pin-triggered position preset for ST/MT data
